Accessibility statement
Loudoun County Insider is built as plain HTML with no scripts, which already removes most of what makes sites hard to use: it works with the keyboard, it works with a screen reader, and it works with JavaScript off.
What we check on every build
Each page is verified before it is published: one h1 per page, a title on every
page, every internal link resolving, every image carrying real alternative text, and every
text-and-background pair measured against WCAG AA contrast. A page that fails is not
published.
What we have not solved
Long articles have no skip-to-content link yet, and some generated images are decorative with no meaningful description beyond their caption.
If something here is hard to use, tell us at [email protected] — a specific page and what went wrong is more useful than anything else you could send.
